I Loaded Sixteen Tons

Never missed "Meaghan The Mover" so much. About three years ago she showed up just in time to stack three cords of split oak. To let history repeat itself she later that same year arrived in Wisconsin Rapids just in time to eat turkey, celebrate her birthday and do it again! Well let the chain be broken. Yesterday I had three cords of split oak delivered. It is all stacked! Four rows! Each five feet high. Do you know why each stack is only five feet high? Becuz wood can't fly!

My new best friend is Mr. TwoWheel Wheelbarrow. Argued with my man cuz he didn't see why such a "Cadillac" was necessary. Ron said, "It is over the top...all I need is a one wheeler." Oh, how wrong he was. Didn't tip once. My new best friend. I nicknamed it "Big Balls." Can you tell I am at the cabin and truly experiencing my real life version of "Castaway." Mr. Ron is canoeing the Ketico. I sent him with gel pocket warmers. Hope he remembers to use em. I had a dialog about my lack of desire to be cold, wet and in a canoe. I said, I don't think I could portage enuf "firewater"...My BFF replied, "Yah, and I don, think anyone has learned to dehydrate alcohol."... Love my creature comforts. Coffee, Lopi fireplace, and Baileys.

Only one store I like to shop at besides TJMAXX. When in Duluth must do a field trip. Best kept secret in Duluth is USA FOX+FURS. WWW.USAFOXX.COM
I needed a catalog. Got an invitation to someones "39th" with the P.S. "No Gifts Please." Perfect time to give the gift of..."Buy your own dam beaver coat."

So I get to chat with the owner and also get to go through all the coolers where they hang pelts. Everything ready to be tailored to your specs.(I reminded myself I was not there for me.) I found out a fox, beaver, mink, or even bobcat are sold by quality and priced accordingly each starting at about $35.00/pelt. To make a long story even longer I volunteered this born Duluthian moved five years ago to Wisconsin. Wayne, the owner; asks me if I had ever been to Wisconsin Rapids. Not Madison, not Milwaukee, not Green Bay, but Wisconsin Rapids (Population 18,634.)? Seems the nations number one premier Raccooneer lives in Rapids. (Cut to the case...) I called up Jack T.
My raccoons are going into "Witness Protection". Well I can't call it "Winter" Protection.
Ooh Contrare..contrare!

I have had six wryly raccoons live trapped and removed. I asked Jack if he wants them. As this is May they aren't harvestable till winter. Something about "shed in spring..dread in the winter" if you are a wryly raccoon. Mr.'T' has land and I have live raccoons. 'I just love it when a plan comes together!' And Jack also "Picks Up and Delivers."
In 1971 Ron and Jack graduated from Assumption.

  1. My favorite line of this blog is the fact that DAD said "it is over the top.. I only need one wheel." That is the father I have come to love...
