Road Trip to Wausau not Warsaw

Everyday I treat myself to lookin' at the faces of these ugly offspring and get happier. . . I just love it when they call home all the time. . .winner last week was Meg by answering my 5am wake up call.  Well, I couldn't call Gretchen cuz she needs her rest...Meg is her "other mother" everyday. Mich called dad spontaneously twice.  Greg was "on the horn" at least six times and email twice jus like Gretchen...But whose counting?

And the girl on the upper right is going to have a birthday on Turkey Day so Ron has agreed to a road trip today to shop at Wausau for present(s) and lunch!  I have to find something for Grr and Josh for Christmas too, cuz the Army has cancelled all leave and she has had quite an emotional last week. (Josh Too!)  If I could hold her and tell her everything will be alright I would.  (I believe in the second part of the sentence.)

Ron was heared to say last week, "I have spent my life learning to deal with cancer, equipping people with answers and the best outcomes possible and I cannot have all the answers for cardiomyopathy and Hasimotos.  (Boy, did he deserve a night out!)

Yesterday's mail brought in my new medtronic bedside monitor.  I am truly now able to beam up my heart to the wireless mission control center in Siberia per "Peggy."  It is designed to suspend further travels to St. Joseph's "Health and Spa."  It is a little strange to hear your heart function go over the fax machine with a series of "bleeps-blinks and squelches." I introduced it to Ron...we both laughed.

Ron went out with the boys last night. He almost missed his chauffeured ride.  My mom used to always say, "Ron will be late to his own funeral."  Actually mom said both Ron and I would be late to our own funerals.  I am planning on it! Punctuality is not my long-suit. Ron got home early enuf to get popcorn and another Manhattan.  He was asleep after finishing the first...not the second.  he slept this morn until TEN!

Today is the first day of the Wisconsin deer season and I am happy to report Ron doesn't partake.  We live in the woods and I was awoken at daybreak today to rifles sounding in the back forty.  Riley didn't get a walk and Yo Yo ran out and in really fast.  Of course I wore a red shirt and was quick as a crouching coyote.  Getting shot in your own front yard is not a great way to start the weekend.  Coffee and Blogging is better!
