Had a birthday and so did Mike. Mike is 23! How did this ever happen. I am pretty sure I still see him as needing me to drive him to hockey practice. I painted his room when we move to Duluth cuz he was afraid to sleep on the third floor and by the time we left Duluth he had (also) conquered the basement creating an (outlawed) "cubby". Today finds him in MSP hopefully conquering new (law abiding) adventures.
Meg took AmTrak home this Friday and is getting closer to that 'Amazing Germany Adventure' her sister blogs about when Gretchen finds time. Meg picked up her car and her puppies which where here for an extended visit (since Thanksgiving) and a few articles and today the movers in MSP are packing up her "household goods" for the "bus" to Baumholder. She called to tell me the DOD (Army) hasn't completed her processing yet and she is a little "nervous". I did what any 'card carrying mother' would do and emailed Gretchen and told her she was going to get some amazing new stuff.
In celebration of the New Year I moved my credentials HOME. I am now my own Broker @ Rapid Realty. I have this amazing Wisconsin wooded view of the birds, (sis kens and yellow bellied sap suckers) squirrels, (gray, black and flying@night,) and deer (white tail). Fearing I may become like the "Maytag Repairman": I am going to focus on Buyers and may never list another house. I am revamping my WEB page to reflect my intentions. www.Move2Rapids.com.
All ideas are being thrown out there and what sticks will be accepted...just may take a while. I have also decided to break out the paints and easel...contribute to the people of Haiti and only have clean reverent thoughts...
(Well two out of three aint bad).
Got through the Christmas cards yesterday and actually connected with a few friends either by phone or email. I should pay more attention to Face Book. I am a year older but there is no wisdom when it comes to my learning Face Book (Forgive me Sally and Dennis!)
I am awaiting word from Gretchen as she traveled to Ireland this past week. Her itinerary included Guinness, Jameson and Joshua. I did my part by buying a new phone here in Wisconsin so I can speed dial the child (01149-6783-185-2362) and brought home John Jamesonthon for Ron's true adventure. I discovered you can bounce Jameson off the parking lot and it doesn't break. Pretty Amazing!
We have plans to travel to this weekend but the weather moving across the CONUS is supposed to be horrendous. Go figure if it was something I wanted to do it is going to be nixed. (What did I tell you about those reverent thoughts...I'm hopeless)
